Jenny Liu is a professional photographer, project manager, and published writer based in Vancouver, BC. She brings over ten years of photography experience and a corporate background to each photoshoot and client interaction.

Jenny’s path to the photography business is unconventional, to say the least. Born in China, Jenny immigrated to Canada and earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of British Columbia. While pursuing a corporate career managing large construction and engineering projects, Jenny started honing her photography skills. She shot as often as possible and took courses and workshops on nights and weekends to take her skills to the next level. Today, her work has been featured in Vogue UK, The Globe and Mail, The Vancouver Sun, Real Weddings, and more.

Thanks to her multifaceted engineering past, Jenny is a true professional who gives her all to each and every project. Her clients trust her creative vision and her technical expertise, resulting in stunning photographs in any lighting condition. Jenny currently specializes in interiors, portraits, and event photography, capturing the unique vibrance of each individual and space. Whether you need a professional headshot, a home décor photoshoot, or even a new photo for a dating app, you’re in good hands with Jenny behind the camera.

While she typically shoots digital, Jenny is also experienced in shooting medium format and 35mm film. Her other passions include reading, playing piano, growing vegetables, and enjoying beautiful Vancouver with her husband, one-year-old daughter, and pet chickens.
